The first time I tried a croissant was at a birthday party when I was a child. I wasn’t really a fan of the taste, as it was a bit dry. A family member told me that croissants are best enjoyed with milk—or, alternatively, that it’s better to choose one with a filling. In Chile, we have manjar, which is what’s known as dulce de leche. Whenever I go to a café, I order a croissant filled with cream or manjar that flavor is a gift from the gods.
